This is one of my favorite pictures. It is my little girl dancing with her daddy. As many of you know I own a dance studio. It is one of the hardest and one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Currently I have 74 students enrolled.
When I decided to do this I was really looking for some meaning for my life. It seems like so many of us ( I am guilty myself) get so caught up in being the "best" or having our children be in the "best" groups or best teams. A lot of times we lose sight of what is really important at least I know I did.
So when opened my studio I decided that I wanted to charge $16 a month in order to let those sweet little dancers who may have never had the chance to afford to dance do it. And be able to feel special in there cute costumes. Our group is also very involved in the community. I didn't want to be a group that just "showed up to dance." I wanted to be a group that could really make a difference.
We may never be the "best" but I know what I am doing is something I can always be proud of and am grateful everyday that god has blessed me with this opportunity. It has really molded me into the kind of person I want to be.
