So we've all had a ticket right? Well at least most of us. It's no secret that my husband is in law enforcement. What gave it away? (Maybe the fact that he is the only Hispanic cop in our town.) Anyways, lately people have been so horrible when he has given them a ticket. The latest was someone threatening him. Ironically, these are usually the people that want him there quick when they need help.
Don't they realize that he is somebody's daddy and husband. Apparently not. Now don't get me wrong. I'm no Georgia peach when I get a ticket and I've laughed uncontrollably at my fair share of police academy 1 and 2 videos but the last time I checked I wasn't threatening an officers life.
Please accept my apologies if you have fallen victim to one of my husbands tickets. I just want my husband to know how proud I am of him. He takes his job very seriously and honors the oath he took. I couldn't ask for a better role model for our children. Everyday I worry about him making it home safely from work. And everyday I am grateful when he and his fellow officers do.
