Very Quick Update

Just a quick update on Diego since this is all the time I have. By the grace of God an appointment opened up for Primary Children's this last Friday instead of us having to wait until the middle of May so we went up and stayed the night and had the sleep study done. We were not told much by the tech only that some things were abnormal so we will have to wait for the Pulminologist to read it. Lately his heart rate has been dropping while he is asleep and he is having a hard time keeping his oxygen up while sleeping so he is now on oxygen while he sleeps.

Yes it feels like we are taking steps back instead of ahead but we are still hopeful that things will look up soon.

This whole thing has been very hard on all of us but our sweet little Alesia is really struggling. She has recently been diagnosed with depression and has been losing a lot of weight. She has been tormented by some kids at school about her weight ( I don't know why, she is a beanpole) and She is so terrified that something is going to happen to her baby brother. When she saw that he had to be on oxygen the other day she just cried and cried. She has such a tender heart. Plus she is still trying to get over the loss of my Grandpa. He was her best friend, she just adored him and misses him so much. We are working hard to get her better too right now.

In a nutshell, I feel like I am barely holding on by a thread right now. Sorry that isn't the most positive statement but I'm just being honest. Thankfully when I'm sure I can't take anymore I feel the Lord give me a little nudge and more strength and I am grateful. Thank you so much for all of the prayers I know that is what is getting us through right now.

He Knows Me

I'm always amazed how much my Savior knows me and knows what I am in need of. Sunday was General Conference and there were some talks that really seemed to hit home with me. Two of my kids have had some struggles lately and I have felt so overwhelmed and a little abandoned by the Lord. I just haven't felt like my prayers have been answered when I needed them too.

One talk was about enduring our trials and that some trials take longer than others.Another one was by Richard G. Scott he talked about losing one of their children when he was a baby. When he was talking about that I was holding my little sleeping Diego and sobbing especially since he has had some challenges lately. I felt the spirit so strongly and can't even begin to imagine the pain him and his wife must have been feeling. That has always been one of my biggest fears.

I loved the tender way he talked about his wife and the sanctity of marriage. I know that without my sweet husband I would not have been able to bear some of the trials we have had and am glad that he is by my side. I hope that someday my children will be able to share a loving marriage like we have.

I'm sure everyone else got different meanings from each talk but selfishly I am going to assume that they were just for me and just what I needed. Once again I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who knows me and my needs even when I don't.
