The round things on his face are called "tender grips" which is an awful name for them because they are anything but tender. They are what holds his oxygen in place at night. They also hurt like heck to take off so we keep them on until they start to peel off and then put a new set on in a different spot on his face. He cries and cries when we take them off and it breaks my heart. I swear they are made with super glue.

I love my toes!

Such a good sister.

This is his pouty face. It is so funny to see him do this.
Well here I am posting my baby's 6 mo well check when he is almost 7 months old. At his check up he weighed 17 lbs. 5 oz and was about 27 inches long. He is growing so fast!
Some of the things that he loves and can do is...
Sit up
Eat baby foods. He likes squash and most fruits but breaks out in hives with pears.
He loves to hold hands and has since he was a baby.
He is into EVERYTHING! If it is in reach you better watch out.
He rolls over.
He laughs a lot.
He likes to look at books.
He loves to climb.
He is becoming a Mommy's boy but still loves to be with Dad.
He says, Da-Da and Ma- Ma.
He likes to put his Binky in upside down .
He still doesn't have any teeth which is unusual for one of my kids but I think they are on their way.
And his hair is finally starting to come back.
Anyways, we are having so much fun with him and love him so much. Now on to the update. We were able to get into the Pulmonologist up north at the end of May. Once again we feel like our prayers were answered and that is why we were seen sooner. He answered so many questions for us. We found out that the apnea he has is caused by an immaturity in the brain. The brain basically stops signaling the body to breathe while sleeping. Also the Dr said that the altitude that we live at makes it harder for them to grow out of quickly because it is harder to breath at our altitude.
He said that usually between the age of 15 months and 2 years old they start to improve. So when he is 15 months old we will go back and do another overnight sleep study. He is now on oxygen every night to try to remind his body to continue to have air flowing constantly. He also said that the reflux he has is probably contributing to the problem. And yes he still has to sleep in our bed because he has 3 cords hooked to him at night and they don't want him to become tangled. You can imagine how romantic that is. He...He...
So we will continue to weather the storm a little longer. I'm so grateful we received some much needed answers. He will probably be going up north again to see a Gastroenterologist too. Every baby food I give him just runs right through him so they are going to see if it has anything to do with the abnormality they saw on my ultrasound I had at 34 weeks when I was pregnant with him. The pulmonologist thinks it has to do with the same problem as the apnea. He said they are all related to the same thing in the brain. So I guess we will see what we find out. Once again, thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes we know that they have helped.

The pictures are darling! I am in love with that sweet Diego. I know you've had lots of struggles, but I am so glad you had this sweet little baby. I love the picture of him and Alesia sleeping together. I can't imagine our family without him.
