Daves Talk

I know I have posted about this before but I feel this is something everyone should read. Our friend David passed away last month from cancer. A few weeks later we also lost another friend in our ward Bill Wilhelm to cancer.(We took temple classes from him and his wife. He was also an instrumental part of my husbands conversion to the gospel)
This has been hard on our ward, friends and family. When my cousin Kim was 27 she also passed away from cancer too. Leaving a 3 yr old and husband behind. I have never been comfortable with her passing. And don't know if I ever have felt like I have healed from it.
Needless to say, watching these two incredible men go through their recent trials has been hard for me. I mentioned in an earlier post that David had written a talk he wanted read and you can now access that talk on my blog. It is on my blog list under "forever family" his wife Georgia has done a great job with sharing memories and updating feelings on her blog. It has helped strengthen each of us through this hard time.
I hope all of take the time to read "Dave's talk" I think it will really put the important things into perspective for you. I know it has for me.

Wow. I just played "catch up" by reading all your catch up posts! Happy (late) Anniversary! 10 years...wow:) I love that you said you are still taller than him and he is still funnier than you! You make me laugh. Your dance recital pics are super cute. Looks like so much fun. Those girls are going to miss you! I have been struggling lately with some of the trials people around me are going through. I think I'm scared that I'm next. It robs me of sleep because I think if THEM going through it does this to me, I couldn't survive if I were next. I want to read Dave's talk though...maybe in a few days I'll feel like I can get through it without breaking down.
