Daddy's Great Idea

I have been meaning to post about this but I keep forgetting. Olivia and Alesia both have birthdays early in the year. This year Carlos decided we should get them each an outfit and then give them money for the rest of their gift.

The conditions were that they couldn't spend any of the money until he said they could. By the way, This was all his idea.

We headed to St. George to watch some videos at the temple visitors center. We went out to eat and then we went to the Mall. Carlos made the girls cover their eyes and took them to Claires. He told them to open their eyes and informed them that they could spend all of their birthday money in that store on whatever they wanted.

Then he ordered me to stay out of the store. I'm sure he was afraid that the control freak in me would decide what they needed to buy. Which couldn't be more true. I was thinking they should each get some hair clips and some jewelery and maybe a cute bag and some makeup. But that didn't happen.....Alesia came out of there with those "bump-its" that make your hair huge.(I could have died) She has been begging me to buy them and I have been telling her no.And then the rest of her money mostly went to make up. Olivia bought a belt, some candy and I think some chap stick. ( so typical for my little tomboy)

Anyways, they had tons of fun. Carlos had a great idea and they both left feeling super special.

P.S. Sorry about the pictures. The lady in the store freaked out and told me I couldn't take pictures in there. So I only got a couple.

Haven't seen the "Bump-it" hairdo yet. Tell Alesia she needs to do it up good the next time she comes over. Glad Carlos kept you out of the store and let them do their own thing!!

That is so funy about the bump-its! My six year old has been asking me for them! I keep conveniently distracting her from the subject. What a sweet hubby! That is a great idea.
