Got to do better!

I was reading through some of my old posts and realized I had only posted one thing for the month of September. How pathetic! I guess my attempt at journaling isn't working out to well. So, I decided I am going to try to post something everyday this week. It may be boring, silly, insightful (yeah right) or just a memory. But, I am determined to do better! So... today I am going to post about our many fall sports that are slowly coming to an end. Hallelujah!

Alesia played soccer for the second year. I was so glad to have it over. I am just so tired of AYSO soccer and hope something better will come along. She only had 6 players on her team this year.Compared to the 13 she had last year. Which meant they could never sub out or have a break. Plus they would play them at the hottest time of the day every game. After Many games she would come home and be sick. Luckily she would always smile out there and that made it so fun to watch. (Sorry about my venting)

Emilio has been playing Flag Football. He loves it! This is his second year of playing and of having his Dad as a coach. His team was made up of a bunch of boys he knew from school. He is still in the "picking grass stage" and "daydreaming" stage but he loves it and that's what counts!

After many years of playing soccer Olivia has advanced to a competition team. We decided this would be best for her since she is now in Middle School and will be in High school soon. She may be little but she can really hustle and hold her own out on the field. She never anticipated how hard a comp. team would be but she loves it!
I wasn't able to get very good pictures of Liv. The rules for the parents are much strickter than they are for the players so I couldn't get many or get very close.

*WARNING!!! THESES PICTURE CONTAIN IMAGES OF VERY SKINNY HIGH SCHOOL BOYS. PLEASE NOTE: THEIR MOTHERS DO FEED THEM,THIS IS JUST WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RUN AN INSANE AMOUNT OF MILES EACH DAY WHILE GOING THROUGH PUBERTY!

Victor is on the High School Cross country Team. He has been doing awesome! His first race was a few months ago and his time was around 22 min for 3 miles. He had also finished in the 100's or so. We had gotten used to looking for him at the end of all the hundreds of kids running but now we have been looking for him at the front. Its so fun! Each race he has been improving. His last race he finished in 17:49 for 3 miles and took 16Th overall. The first place finishers time was 17:01 if that helps put it into perspective. The poor boy looks like a starved child from a third world country though. I guess that's what running 5-6 miles a day will do for you. Maybe I should step up my game!

Just hearing about your kids makes me tired! How do you keep up with it all? Victor is a running machine...Chad would kill to have him on his Cross Country team down here:)
