Girls Camp 2008
I have read a lot of posts lately about people getting called to the Young Women's in their ward. So I thought I would comment on my experience in YW.
I was released from being the First Counselor in our Young Women's last month. I sure miss it. I knew it was time but I was a little sad and afraid. I do have to say that I feel a little relief when Tuesday rolls around and I'm not running like a crazy lady making sure we have everything for Mutual. My testimony has always been the strongest when I am serving with the youth. It is a very hard calling, it requires you to be away from your family a lot but it is also so rewarding. There is nothing like seeing good kids in your ward doing good things. It really gives you hope in such a crazy world.
It has helped me understand my older kids too. I had so many great experiences from Youth Conferences, Girls Camp, Baptisms and most of all just sharing testimony's and conversations with the youth. They have strengthened me so much.I only wish I had been that strong in my teens. I was also able to get my Young Women's Medallion. I had always regretted not getting it in my youth. I'm so glad I still got it. I'm always amazed at how great those kids are. I hope I get the opportunity to serve with them again.

I love your cookie bouquet! So cute! The YW in that ward (it still feels too weird to call it YOUR ward and not OUR ward:) are amazing. I love them. You'll have to let me know when CV's graduation is this year and I'll try to make the drive and we can go together to give them a shout out.
I cracked up at your comment on my blog. Somehow I think I won't be using the word "hell" in my relief society presentation! "Prioritize" yes, "hell" probably not! You're hilarious. Enjoy your Tuesdays!!:)
