As of the first week of Jan I will officially be a full time student at the University. Right now everything is so overwhelming. I keep asking myself how I can do it all (be a mom, wife, run a business, serve in a very busy young women's calling, exercise, and a student.)
I've just decided I have to look at this as life insurance. What if something happened to my husband? My mom was a single parent with 6 kids when she had to go back to school and work. I remember how hard it was for her. But, it was the right decision too. I feel very strongly about this. I guess you can say, almost "prompted" that this is what is best for our family.
Unfortunately, my husband hasn't picked the most financially rewarding career but he absolutely loves what he does. (just a side note, did you know that police officers make less than teachers? We all know that teachers definitely don't make what they deserve to make. Right Kami and Angie C.?) Its just a little irritating that those in law enforcement are asked to leave there family's for months at a time, go to and pass very difficult Academy's and push there bodies to physical meltdowns.Let alone, put on a bullet proof vest everyday and possibly give there life if needed. But, can hardly support there family's. Might I add that a lot of them do have college degrees too. (SORRY, THAT WAS JUST MY FRUSTRATION OF BEING A MOMMY WHO HAS ALWAYS WORKED FULL TIME WHEN I HAVE WANTED TO BE A STAY AT HOME MOMMY COMING OUT!)
Anyways, I will be majoring in sociology and minoring in dance or psychology. I'm really nervous. I'm am not book smart. I have told my sister all week that I was the one in High School who always felt like I just didn't get it. When everyone else did. Oh well, Thank goodness for tutors. I guess only time will tell if I am really the "super woman" that I am going to have to be to pull all this together. ( Don't check for any grammar errors, I'll be getting enough critique soon! J/K)

Yay for you. You can do it. Probably the hardest thing is going to be realizing that if you are going to do everything you can't do everything 100% all of the time! It will be a good example to your kids of the importance of education. And while our husbands aren't the richest in the world, I think we'd both agree that we'd rather they did something they loved than something they didn't just for the paycheck. So many people go into a field strictly for the $$ reward--how sad! Good luck with school! You'll do great!
I give you credit!! That's so awesome you are going back to school.. You are such an amazing person, you can do it!! I want to go back to school also, just need to find the motivation...
You'll be great! Just try to keep a tight scedual, that seems to help me! I would love to go back and take some photography classes...someday! Anyway Good Luck!
Good Job! We are very proud of you. You can do it. Remember it is ok to some times ask for help if you need it. You can always call us or send your kids over to play so you can study or do your homework.
Good for you we are proud of you for taking this on and you know that we are here to help to in anyway, because we all need help sometime in our life. If you here of a photography class going on let me know cause I really want to take it. we love you and good luck.
I agree that police officers don't make the money they deserve especially in Utah. You will do great in school!!
