My Gandparents

Yesterday we went over to visit my grandparents after church. This is something we do about every other Sunday. Olivia and I also clean my grandma's floors every other week. I just love helping them. I tell my kids all the time how lucky they are to have there great grandparents in there life. They have always loved me unconditionally even when I was unlovable. I feel so blessed to have them.

I always wished that my Dad's parents lived closer. My grandmother (Carmen) passed away exactly two weeks before Alesia (my youngest) was born. I really do miss her and wish she could see my kids now. I also wish they could have tasted her great southern cooking. I'm grateful that she had at least had 2 weeks to love on my little girl in heaven before she came to us.

It really is our family that makes us who we are. Better or worse. I know for sure that my grandparents have shaped me for the better.

I am glad your kids enjoyed the pumpkin patch. I love looking at your blog! Great grandparents and grandparents can be such a blessing to their posterity...you are lucky to have them around still. My kids are down to one grandma and one great grandma and that is it. I tag you too on the Great Eight. I would love to see what you favs are!!

Your grandparents are so cute! You're so lucky to be able to spend time with them still. I think about my grandma Hamblin all the time--I wish she were still here so bad! (For my own selfish reasons, obviously!;) I never got to meet my grandpa Hamblin and yet I find myself still thinking about him a LOT. Unfortunately my other grandparents live in St. George and I don't get to see them as often as I wish. We really need to take advantage of the blessing of knowing and our kids knowing our grandparents...I think I'll go email my grandma right now!!
